FEAR: The enemy’s top tools for destruction - Christian Boone

Hebrews 11:7 NASB

By faith Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

Hebrews 11:8-9 NASB

By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he left, not knowing where he was going. By faith he lived as a stranger in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise;

2 Corinthians 5:7 NASB

For we walk by faith, not by sight—

    1.    Fear is a trap / Fear Paralyzes.

Proverbs 29:25 NKJV

“The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.”

    2.    Fear Causes Anxiety, Depression.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Philippians 4:6-7 NASB

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:8-9 NASB2020

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things. As for the things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.”

    3.    Fear Projects a future without God in it.

How do I overcome fear?

    1.    Understand where fear comes from.

II Timothy 1:7 NKJV

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

John 10:10 NASB

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came so that they would have life, and have it abundantly.

    2.    We watch our speech.

Proverbs 18:21 NASB

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.”

We align with the one who has life-giving power, or the one who intends to steal, kill and destroy.

    3.    Get a revelation of God’s love.

1 John 4:18 NASB

There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.”

Joshua 1:9 NASB

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified nor dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Psalms 27:1 NASB

The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom should I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; Whom should I dread?”

Isaiah 41:13 NASB

For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand, Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.

Psalms 34:4 NASB

I sought the Lord and He answered me, And rescued me from all my fears.”
